The KARL collection just arrived in Net-A-Porter. The collection which includes dresses, tops, bottoms, collars, bags, and shoes are all inspired by Karl Lagerfeld ’s own signature style. Yah know, the biker chick-chic rock style. I personally like the vests and jackets, especially the pink and white ones.

I’m not that comfortable wearing horizontal stripes which explains why I can count in my 1 hand how many horizontal stripes print I own in my closet. I think I have 1 striped dress and a couple of tops. But I saw this Michael Kors Side-Lace with horizontal stripes print and fell in love with it right away. I love that side-lace detailing. Ironically, all the striped items I own are also in blue color. This dress would look hot with any kinds of shoes, no? Pumps, sandals, evening heels, knee-high boots , or booties. I’m partial to the latter myself.

Thanks to their stylists, haha! Seriously though, I love watching awards season not only because I love watching movies and TV so it’s nice to see the actors get rewarded for their jobs well done. I love the camaraderie from all of them. They might all be competing in their respective categories but you could feel the respect and appreciation for each other’s work. I enjoyed the jokes, jabs, whatchamallits given by the host Ricky Gervais. To Hollywood’s credit, they do have a great sense of humor. They can dish it just as cold as Gervais can which makes it even more fun for everyone.
And because I love fashion as much as I love pork dishes and chocolates, watching the celebrities glide down the red carpet is an event in itself for me. Here are my favorites from last night.
Angelina Jolie in an Atelier Versace gown. White silk with that red slash on the neckline, plus red clutch and red lipstick. OMGosh. Even sitting down in her table with equally hot partner Brad Pitt, Angelina was just a sight to behold.
Kate Beckinsale in Roberto Cavalli chiffon and lace strapless gown. Kate wore Casadei pumps, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Ferragamo clutch to complete her look. I would seriously go …… never mind
