Animal Print Dresses ala Marian Rivera
My favorite and uber-love Filipina-Spanish actress Marian Rivera wore this bodycon animal print cap-sleeved dress at an event last week in the Philippines. She just looked absolutely HOT and gorgeous that I spent a few days searching for the same animal print dress. I couldn’t find it online coz as it turns out the dress was a gift from an Aunt of Marian Rivera who lives in Spain. And she won’t tell me what it is, hehe.
So I can’t tell you that exact brand and where you could get one for yourself. But I found similar animal printed dresses that we might be able to pull off ourselves.
But before I do that, let me share with you an important thing when it comes to wearing an animal print dress.
Marian Rivera showed exactly how to wear an animal print dress the right way. Marian wore a pair of white wedges and carried a white tote which happens to be an Hermes. Animal print is a bold and busy print therefore it’s best to match it or shall I say, contrast it, with something monochromatic or subtle and solid accessories. Go for either white, grey, black or neutrals. Don’t wear vibrant or multicolored or multi-print jacket/bolero/cardigan over it. Don’t wear statement jewelry pieces either. Marian’s dress is actually in a subtle shade of blue but the picture didn’t seem to translate that. So the white wedges, Hermes tote and minimal accessories (she only wore a ring, watch, and being familiar with Marian’s style, probably just a pair of diamond stud earrings) worked perfectly with the blue shade of animal print dress.
