Today Show Fashion Toss Is Mostly Bull!

This isn’t the first time the Today Show fashion experts have annoyed me. The most recent one which was feature a couple months ago or so was this expert’s advice on Scarf being the hottest accessory for summer then gave a few ideas on how to wear it. I thought that was ridiculous coz I’ve actually featured the same topic back in 2009 when I used to write for b5media. Too little too late.

Today, no pun intended, the fashion expert talked about what to TOSS  this summer. Although I agree with her in the 1st and 2nd items which are the Jeggings and tie-dye print, I disagree with the rest of the items she advised people to get rid of.

Old Navy Oxford Stripe Skirt

Hey everyone!  No, I’m not new here. I’m the “other chick” that’s supposed to be contributing to this site. What can I say? Dexie does an awesome job on her own, she doesn’t need me hah.

Anyway, I am updating today because I wanted to share this adorable skirt I bought, from Old Navy, about a month ago.

Normally, I’m not one to buy skirts that have “stretchy waistbands” because they’re not always flattering but, I fell in love with the blue/gray color combination, the full A-line skirt and the stripes!  It fits like a dream, is lined and hits just above my knees.  What I love most about it? It has pockets! Pockets, people!  I really feel pockets on skirts and dresses should be standard issue.  I wore this museum hopping while it was a little rainy so I wore it with a black top and boots. You can easily transition this skirt to work for Spring/Summer by wearing it with a white (or gray) top and a pair of cute wedge sandals. By the way, it’s best to wear a snug top (tucked in) with this since the skirt is quite full.

The Old Navy Oxford-Stripe Skirt is currently on sale for $19.50 (down from $29.50) so it’s a steal. I would definitely give it a go if I were you.
